District Teachers of Year Named During Night of Stars Banquet A fourth-grade elementary teacher and a middle school AVID teacher and coach were named Comal ISD's District Teachers of the Year during the annual Night of Stars banquet in May. Thirty-six campus teachers of the year were honored as well.

Two Comal ISD Journalists Win State UIL Titles Two journalism students brought home gold medals from the UIL Academic meet. A junior from Smithson Valley High School became the state 5A team champion, and a senior from Memorial Early College High School was named the 3A headline writing champion.
Comal ISD Hosts Eight Graduations for Class of 2024 Comal ISD hosted eight graduation ceremonies this year for the class of 2024 with 2,096 students receiving their high school diplomas. This year marked the first graduation for both Hill Country College Preparatory High School and Pieper High School. Congratulations to all!
Sixty-Five Students Choose Military Post High School Graduation Traditionally, students in Comal ISD have chosen to serve in the military post graduation, and this year is no exception with 65 recent graduates joining the military either as enlistees or through military academies and colleges.
